EthnaMorte, a London-based world music unit with a difference (Flamenco & latin jazz meeting dark noir, moorish drones & tribal beats, within a multi-lingual theatrical stance) formed in 2007.
Releasing a 78-minute 5-lingual debut CD last year that placed them 2nd at the Reverbnation end-of-year London world music charts, throughout 2011 the band shifted its line-up, added more guitars (in different exotic tunings) and continued writing & gigging new songs for a 2nd forthcoming CD in the works.
Going by the tag of “death to music confines” for a reason, EthnaMorte have gigged with bands of many genres (from trip hop to medieval to funk to hiphop to jazz to bossa nova etc). So for this gig, they look forward to place themselves again in new grounds — this time along bands of an abrasive nature in both the hard rock and electronic field!
So 13th November it is – EthnaMorte’s last gig for 2011 before hibernating for recordings!
They have something new for those who have seen them lately, and lots of new stuff for who has not seen them for a while!
